Quick Info Sheet

Welcome to St. Clare's

From the Pastor's Desk

Dear parishioners: there will be three brand new St. Killian’s Votive Candle Racks in our Church before Christmas, which will slowly replace the five existing ones. With the approval of our Building committee, these new racks will allow you to light a real candle and the flame will now be safe in a break-resistant glass. The wax liquefies and empties into a Teflon drawer below where it self-extinguishes, thus providing two hours of burning that is soot free! There will be no candle remains as waste. Hardened wax is easily lifted out from the container and can then be recycled which is also most cost effective! No more breakage, no more smell and no risk of fire. This may even reduce our insurance. I am sure you will be happy.

Fr. Francesco

We wish to acknowledge and thank both our friends & neighbours at Jerrett & Vescio Funeral Homes for so generously donating the new 2016/2017 Sunday Missals that are in our pews! Copies are also available at the parish office for anyone wishing to purchase their own copy.

Vocation Discernment Retreat

The Office of Vocations invites single Catholic men, 17 years and older to attend a Vocations Discernment Retreat from December 9th to 11th at Manresa Spiritual Renewal Centre, Pickering. This is a good retreat for men who are at crossroads in discerning God’s desired Vocation for them.

The retreat offers Guided reflections, Holy Mass, Adoration, confession and the assistance of a vocations team. Suggested donation of $150 to help cover costs. For more information, please call 416-968-0997.

2017 Offering Envelopes

Your new offering envelopes for next year will be ready to be picked up on the weekends of December 10/11 & 17/18. As usual, envelopes are arranged in numerical order, and someone will also be on hand to help out. Extra envelope sets will also be available for those who didn’t use envelopes this year, but wish to start using them in the new year. Thank you for your continued support!
