Registration for the Sacrament of Communion for children who are in Grade 2 or higher has already taken place last week. If you would like your child to be prepared but have missed the registration, please call the office at 416-654-7087 as soon as possible.

 
Great News!

Our parish community is proud to announce that the centenary book that came out in June of 2015, St. Clare's Church: Celebrating 100 Years of Faith and Service, has been nominated for a Heritage Toronto Award.

Every year, Heritage Toronto honours "outstanding contributions in the promotion and conservation of Toronto’s history and heritage by professionals and volunteers."

Members of the St. Clare's book committee are thrilled to be included among a varied list of entrants including several well-established historians, as well as distinguished public figures Bob Rae and John Sewell. The awards ceremony will take place on Monday, October 17th. If you wish to attend or if you wish to purchase a book, or if have any other questions, please contact Christine Horgan at 416.652.8174.

 
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)

Are you thinking about becoming Roman Catholic? Are you baptized but have not yet received the sacraments of Eucharist, Reconciliation or Confirmation? You may be interested in joining our RCIA program. RCIA is for adults and children 7 years or older, who are:

  • Unbaptized and wishing to become Catholic
  • Baptized in the Roman Catholic Church and wishing to receive the sacraments of Eucharist, Reconciliation and Confirmation
  • Baptized in another Christian church and wishing to be received into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church, and to receive the sacraments of Eucharist, Reconciliation and Confirmation.

    Our program starts on Monday, September 26.

    Sunday, October 2, 2016 between 2 and 3 p.m.

    ADOPTION: THE LOVING OPTION

    Join your fellow parishioners and community members at the Dufferin & St. Clair Ave. W. intersection in a peaceful demonstration in support of life.

    Holy Hour & Healing Mass
    Please join us on First Friday, October 7th, for Holy Hour at 8:00 a.m. with Healing Mass to follow at 9:00 am.

    This is an opportunity for you to receive the healing oil that refreshes us and brings us closer to Jesus. The oil of the sick is to be administered to those who "begin to be in danger due to sickness or old age" (canon law 1004).

    OCTOBER: MONTH OF THE ROSARY
    As October is the month of the Rosary, let us begin our observance with the Living Rosary on Saturday, October 8 at 10:00 a.m.

    MAINTENANCE COLLECTION
    Next weekend's (October 8/9) 2nd collection will be taken up for the monthly maintenance of our church.

    Thanksgiving Food Drive
    On the weekend of October 8/9, we will be collecting donations of non-perishable food items during all the Masses. We ask that you place your gifts up at the side altars either before or after Mass. Members of the Good Shepherd Refuge will be picking them up and distribute them among the neediest in our community.

    Friday, OCTOBER 14 at 6:30 PM in our Parish hall

    Very pivotal steps will be discussed as to how we should move forward as a parish!!!

    Please bring a dish to share and let us have a meal together and share our vision!
